We're currently gearing up for the January mocks, but our exams team are importing basedata for the summer exams and starting to link pupils to get their entries set up. While we want pupils to see the details around the mocks, we don't want them to see the details for the summer exams yet, partly to simplify what they are seeing, but also from a welfare standpoint so as not to cause additional pressure.
Additionally preparing all of the entries for Y11, Y13 and any early entrants, we would prefer to have them all in place before the pupils can see them
Within the External Exams Manager > Setup > Exam Cycles > Edit exam cycle pop up box add a tick box for "Visible on Portals" to allow the exams team to allow which cycles are available while the overall on/off of the exams section is controlled by whoever manages the portals.
I was just about to type this idea and noticed it was already here. It would be great to only show the exams you want to be seen at a certain time even as some are still a 'work in progress' and you don't want them to be seen yet.
