When creating multiple staff records in HR for new staff, it would be helpful to be able to schedule the change of the System Status from "Not Yet Arrived" to "At School".
Whilst I can do this manually closer to the time, it would be good to be able to cue this up in advance, knowing all the changes will take effect when they need to, they will happen even if on the day I'm snowed under with other work or off ill.
Scheduling/automation could be helpful elsewhere in iSAMS when changes are known about in advance, e.g. pupils moving sets/forms, staff changing name after getting married, etc.
I completely agree. I currently have to note on my calendar to do this as staff come and go throughout the school year. Surely the easiest way would be for the system to automatically move new staff to current on their enrolment date? The same is needed with pupils. The same principle is also needed for leaving dates for both staff and pupils.
