It appears that it is no longer possible to display an on-screen version of assessments/reports on the Parent/Student Portal and that a PDF publication has to be made to display to parents. This is a very worrying change to the system for a number of reasons:
We rely on being able to display assessments/reports to parents when there is an issue with the print templates - removing this failsafe is a major concern given the number of issues we've experienced with template errors/failures.
We release assessment grades on-screen to parents/students early where there is an upcoming parents conference towards the end of term.
We release on-screen to students to go over their reports with tutors before final PDF publication takes place allowing any errors to be rectified
It is also inconvenient and a waste of space to need to produce a number of PDF print runs for each cycle until the final version is complete.
