The current parent portal uses colour coding in the calendar to distinguish between different types of entries, such as sports fixtures, exams, term dates, events, and meetings. However, the new portal calendar does not include this colour‑coding feature.
Additionally, when calendar entries apply to specific year groups or to multiple calendars, they appear several times in the view when a user selects “All Calendars.” It would be preferable for these to display as a single consolidated entry. The duplication also appears when downloading the calendar, making it look cluttered and less user‑friendly.
