The Cover Manager module does not allow you to create absences for staff who have no allocated lessons. This is very illogical given that schools often have numerous staff without timetables who are available to cover lessons - if they are absent, this needs to be recorded in the Cover Module (not in HR, as this is usually a different permissions level). I can see that this has been mentioned previously and is 'in discovery' - but the post was over 4 years ago...
