Might it be possible to allow Actions to be allocated to multiple staff at once? This could either take the form of copying the action out once per staff member chosen, or allowing more than one staff member to be assigned to a single action. Preferably both options, for flexibility!
You also might want to assign the same action to a form tutor and head of year?
Similar to what is implied in the idea, if it becomes possible to assign the same action to multiple staff, would need to consider the outcomes model - whether this creates :
an action per assigned staff member, with a different outcome possible on each
one action that multiple members of staff can all add to the outcome
For this option may want to consider an assignee only being able to add to the outcome, to prevent overwriting outcome details added by other assignees. Visibility of the overall concern being required to edit the outcome.
or if there is an checkbox when creating the action to select which of these two options is required?
Also, a switch to role based assignment (similar to https://ideas.isams.com/ideas/MIS-I-1977 ) that would allow assignment to form tutor, head of year/house or subject teachers (rather than a specific individual) would help support this request and reduce the effort in working out who the relevant contact is for a pupil.
i.e. May want to use to notify all subject teachers and provide a location (the Outcome field) for them to store related feedback i.e. "Safeguarding concern. Please observe wellbeing and general engagement. Please share notable changes immediately."
Ideally, when the outcome is updated, all with visibility of the Concern would be notified. https://ideas.isams.com/ideas/MIS-I-3801
Pastoral notes could be used for this, but teachers would not be specifically notified when this was added.
Thank you for adding a suggestion to the ideas portal. Please would you give further details on this, giving use cases if possible to explain why having 2 staff members assigned to the same action would be useful to you?
